When I began "mat training" my dogs alongside their trainers, I became frustrated with the inability to wash training mats I had purchased them and the lack of options for large dogs.

This led me to designing a new style of training mat with a removable cover. The mat covers are made from water resistant, uv resistant canvas, stitched with uv treated canvas thread and contain a uv treated zipper. The mat insert is an outdoor polyester foam, often used in marine cushions, in a polycotton case.

The canvas cover is machine washable (to extend the life I recommend cold wash), I do not recommend washing the mat insert as the padding can separate in the wash, I have completely enclosed it for this reason.

With my store bought mats I found it super frustrating having to replace the entire mat if the outer fabric became damaged. For this reason and to alternate when your cover is in the wash, spare covers will be available for purchase very soon in both canvas and softer fabrics for indoor mats.
